Autumn 2024 – Early Spring 2025
Our clients required a purpose designed extension to improve disabled access and enhance their living space. The project involved removing an existing conservatory and constructing a new sunroom extension with accessible decking to the rear garden. The brief specifically focused on creating seamless wheelchair access from the original house through to the garden, whilst also remodelling the kitchen to integrate with the new bright, open living space. Careful planning was essential to ensure accessibility remained at the heart of every design decision.

We began by carefully removing the existing conservatory, allowing us to form new foundations over the original footprint. From the outset, accessibility was the primary consideration, with every element planned to enhance disabled living and wheelchair movement throughout the property. Large sliding patio doors were installed to provide easy access between the sunroom and garden, whilst multiple roof lights were strategically positioned to flood the space with natural light. The new decking area was constructed to provide level, wheelchair friendly access to the rear garden, creating independence and usability that the previous setup couldn't offer. The kitchen remodelling was coordinated to flow naturally with the new extension, creating a cohesive living space.
Completed in early spring 2025, this project successfully transformed our clients' home into a bright, accessible living space that dramatically improves their quality of life. The new sunroom extension provides a light filled area that connects beautifully with the remodelled kitchen, whilst the accessible decking has opened up garden access that was previously difficult to achieve. Our clients were delighted with how the works have enhanced their independence and day to day living, commenting on the thoughtful planning and sensitivity shown throughout the build. The project demonstrates our commitment to creating practical, beautiful solutions that genuinely improve how people live in their homes.
